We live in the flux and flows of a rapidly changing world. As we spiral into a technological singularity our wildest dreams and nightmares manifest themselves before us. We have always pursued our dreams with our minds, hearts and hands, but today we find ourselves in uncharted territory. We live in an age where the lag-time between dream and becoming is thinner than ever.
Our lives are spent both consuming, and being consumed by, narratives. Humans are masterful storytellers. Our stories have a long history of evolution, leaping from the first sounds made by pushing air through our meaty chords, to paintings on cave walls, to the ever-present written word, to the photograph, to today where our creations spill back out at us in the form of lively characters and digital ghosts. In a way, all of those things listed are virtual realities. Have you ever been lost in a book? How about a really good film? Immersion is not exclusive to games or VR, but it certainly thrives there.

We live in a very exciting time. Worlds imaginary and real brush up against each other. Realities collide. Perspectives shift--out of body, out of space, out of time.
